Colosseum Guided Tour

If short on time in Rome, this should be the best way of doing it, join our group tour for  the colosseum, the icon and symbol of Rome , the largest amphitheater built during the Roman Empire.  Our official tour guides will reveal you who founded Rome, the meaning and the importance of an amphitheater in the empire, about the origin and the evolution of the venationes and the munera gladiatoria where thousands of wild animals were captured and trained gladiators were offering public entertainments. At the end of the tour, your guide will accompany you to the entrance of the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill and there you can explore the area on your own.

Meeting point

Meet us at Piazza di San Clemente just in front of the entrance of the basilica about 600 metres away from the Colosseum metro station. To help you locate us easily we will have an orange label with our logo SONITUS IN ROME written on it

Please note

⁃ Confirmation will be received at the time of booking.
⁃ Please make sure that you will get there 15min before the starting time. 
⁃ We recommend you to keep your empty bottle of water since you can refill it everywhere in Rome for free.
⁃The Colosseum tour is wheelchair-accessible, the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill not.
⁃ Due to severe weather conditions this tour could be canceled and if so you can choose an alternative date or a full refund.
⁃ Please be aware that we can not skip the security check line.

Cancellation policy

– For cancellations up to 48 hours before the start of the activity you will be issued with a full refund;
-For cancellations less than 48 hours before the start of the activity or in the event of a ‘no-show’ or ‘late arrival’ you will not be entitled to a refund, either full or partial.
– The Supplier reserves the right to request higher, specific compensation instead of the aforementioned flat-rate fees, if the Supplier can prove that it has incurred much higher expenses than the respectively applicable flat-rate fee. In this case the Supplier is obliged to provide specific figures and evidence of the compensation requested, taking into account the saved expenses and any other use of the services.
– The refund will be processed using the same payment method. In the event of credit cards which are charged monthly, the amount shall be credited at the end of the current invoicing period. The exact time of the refund depends on the user’s credit card agreement. The refund by bank transfer shall be done within seven bank working days.
– The Supplier can cancel the activity on the agreed date without observing a period of notice, if weather conditions, official measures, strikes or other unforeseeable or unavoidable external conditions (in particular force majeure) make the execution of the activity impossible, make it considerably more difficult or endanger it. In this case a full refund will be provided.
